This group has a programming idea once upon a time, and I know that lots of times these ideas generate a swath of new subdomains, user-accounts, and other paraphernalia.
Any thoughts on adding a 'wiki' module to some place within this site and keeping our blogrolls and opmls a little cleaner?

A wiki on silc may not be possible. I'll have to look into Drupal to see if it's been done (or can be done). But we do have "Books" which might be useable.
I have to ask, if the project dies a death of disinterest is that a bad thing?

No, I have no issue with projects dying of disinterest.
I think the easier it is to create new avenues for discussion around a new project, the more ideas we'll collectively have, and the more likely we'll find one that will be fun. I think it's inevitable that a majority of them will never really get off the ground.
